As a Director/Staff Manager of Product Management for Wi‑Fi & Bluetooth, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of connectivity within IE‑IoT. This position goes beyond managing products— it’s about defining strategy, influencing technology roadmaps, and enabling global adoption of cutting‑edge wireless solutions. You will lead the lifecycle of IE‑IoT connectivity products, ensuring they meet market needs and deliver exceptional value to customers. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams across geographies—engineering, sales, marketing, and business development—to translate customer insights into innovative product offerings. Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute long‑term product strategies aligned with market trends, customer needs, and Qualcomm’s IoT vision.
  • Product Ownership: Manage assigned IE‑IoT Wi‑Fi product lines throughout their lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the voice of the customer by capturing requirements, building strong relationships, and ensuring alignment between customer needs and product capabilities.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, program management, and global sales teams to deliver high‑quality products on schedule.
  • Market Analysis & Business Case Development: Conduct competitive analysis, evaluate market opportunities, and provide financial justification for portfolio decisions.
  • Roadmap Development: Drive roadmap planning and communicate product vision internally and externally through compelling presentations.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on market trends, design wins, roadmap execution, and strategic targets to senior leadership.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Qualcomm at industry events, customer meetings, and internal forums to promote connectivity solutions.

This is an office‑based position that can be located at Qualcomm’s San Diego or Santa Clara locations and is expected to comply with the company’s onsite work policy.

Other Requirements

  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in leadership, organization, communications, and decision‑making within a highly technical enterprise environment.
  • Product Management: 3+ years managing high‑volume wireless semiconductor and SoC products.
  • Technical Background: Hands‑on experience with Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
  • Skills: Strong technical, financial, and business acumen; exceptional communication, organization, and presentation skills; proven problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Industry Experience: Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth development or product management experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA preferred.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits

$179,200.00 – $268,800.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum‑to‑maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales‑incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
