Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Location
Andover, MA (3–4 days/week onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and principles
- Develop and own the enterprise technology roadmap aligned with business and regulatory goals
- Lead Architecture Review Board and evaluate new technology investments
- Identify gaps, technical debt, and modernization opportunities
- Provide architectural guidance across all enterprise systems
Enterprise Applications Architecture
- Architect and oversee enterprise platforms including:
- Oracle Fusion ERP (Finance, SCM, Manufacturing)
- MES (Critical Manufacturing)
- EQMS, LIMS
- Workday HCM
- Define integration patterns and ensure seamless data flow across systems
- Guide design decisions to minimize complexity and technical debt
- Evaluate build vs. buy vs. configure strategies
Infrastructure & Platform Architecture
- Define AWS cloud architecture strategy (compute, storage, networking, security)
- Design cloud landing zones and account structures
- Ensure compliance with standards such as SOX, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GDPR, ISO 13485
- Build shared services (IAM, monitoring, logging, alerting)
Data Architecture & Governance
- Define enterprise data strategy including:
- Data models, MDM, and data flows
- Integration patterns (API, event-driven, ETL/ELT)
- Establish data governance (quality, ownership, lineage, lifecycle)
- Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness
- Recommend data platforms (e.g., AWS data services, lakehouse solutions)
Compliance, Security & Risk
- Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks (FDA, SOX, GDPR, ISO 13485)
- Implement security-by-design principles (zero trust, encryption, access control)
- Support audits, validations, and compliance reviews
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership and business stakeholders
- Translate business strategy into technical architecture
- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 8–12+ years of IT experience, with 3–5+ years in architecture roles
- Strong experience in:
- Enterprise Architecture
- AWS cloud platforms
- Oracle Fusion ERP
- Integration architecture (APIs, middleware, ETL/ELT)
- Data architecture & governance
- Experience working in regulated industries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MES, EQMS, or LIMS platforms
- Knowledge of Workday HCM integrations
- Familiarity with AWS data platforms (e.g., Redshift, lakehouse)
- Exposure to Industry 4.0 / IoT / smart manufacturing
- Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives
