Position Overview
The Director of Global Algorithmic Trading will play a key role within the firm’s Research and Client Strategy Development team. This individual will analyze algorithm behavior, enhance execution strategies and develop transaction cost and impact analytics. The role requires close collaboration with clients, sales, research and technology teams across equities, futures and options.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development and enhancement algorithmic execution strategies.
- Generate and interpret Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and related client reports.
- Conduct ad‑hoc client statistical analysis requirements to address client performance inquiries.
- Build and maintain back‑testing frameworks to evaluate and optimize the firm's trading strategies.
- Partner with Research, Development and Product teams to recommend and implement product enhancements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand, test and refine trading applications and analytical tools.
- Leverage large‑scale market and tick data for performance analytics and model validation.
- Develop or support the development of tools that improve research efficiency, trading, performance and process automation.
Experience
- 3-10 years’ experience in electronic or algorithmic trading with exposure to options and futures.
- Strong understanding of trading mechanics, market micro‑structure and electronic execution workflows.
- Knowledge of advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of Market Structure, SOR, Portfolio Trading, ATS and Dark Pool functionality. Tick data experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with C++ and/or Java will be a plus.
- Solid quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in large data sets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of explaining technical results to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Compensation
Base Salary $150,000 - $200,000 NYC Only + performance‑based bonus.
