Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace is seeking a Director Technical Program Management to join our Finance Digital Technology Team. The role leads a project team focused on continuous improvement, try‑storm, AI, and innovation initiatives for our Finance customers. This position is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, fostering a culture of innovation, and empowering team members to deliver measurable improvements aligned with Finance, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) priorities. Responsibilities include defining the future Finance AI strategy, learning and engagement across the GE Aerospace finance community and senior executive leadership, and developing a technical innovation strategy to support all finance FLIGHT DECK initiatives. The role leads a global organization of employees and managed service resources, partners with DT, functional stakeholders, and the Finance FLIGHT DECK team. Ideal candidates have strong leadership, project management, and FLIGHT DECK methodology experience with a passion for talent development and impactful change.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Influence executives and senior executives internally or externally to DT; driving business stakeholder engagement and partnership.
- Partner with the business, identifying and implementing process optimization opportunities using FLIGHT DECK principles.
- Apply knowledge of business structures and levers that support business, Finance and DT goals, including AI and technical innovation strategies.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving sessions to drive improvements.
- Ensure the DT and Finance teams adopt and sustain standard work and best practices.
- Define the strategy for the future AI adoption in GE Aerospace Finance, including best practices, governance, operating mechanisms, and engagement and education strategies.
- Champion try‑storm activities to rapidly prototype and test solutions in a controlled environment.
- Explore innovative ideas and industry best practices and translate them into actionable projects.
- Support the evaluation of new solutions for feasibility, scalability, and impact.
- Lead and execute hiring, retention and talent development in technical, application and domain expertise aligned to team vision.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing project team to execute continuous improvement and try‑storm AI and innovation projects.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and respect for people.
- Mentor and coach team members to build their skills in FLIGHT DECK methodologies, project management, and innovation practices.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, aligned with organizational priorities.
- Provide regular feedback and development opportunities to help team members grow professionally.
- Drive career development within the entire team in line with organizational strategy and talent needs.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, support, and prioritization against Finance and DT annual priorities.
- Ensure all team projects align with SQDC priorities and deliver measurable improvements.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team and project success.
- Communicate project updates, risks, successes, and lessons learned effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, including targeted material for senior level audiences.
- Define change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new or improved finance processes and innovative solutions, including AI.
- Address resistance and foster a mindset of continuous improvement across the team and organization.
- Act as a role model for embracing change and driving innovation at pace.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience, OR Associates degree with a minimum of 11 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 13 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Technical Program/Project Management.
- Significant People Leader experience.
- Military experience is considered equivalent to professional experience.

Desired Characteristics
- Experience in technical program management, with a focus on finance systems and processes.
- Strong knowledge of finance systems and FLIGHT DECK methodologies, including Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri, and try‑storm techniques.
- Experience with exploration and early adoption strategies of AI tools and technologies within the Finance domain.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage conflicts, and inspire collaboration.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at a senior executive level.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.

Additional Information
Base pay range for this position is $152,000–$210,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary. The posting is expected to close on March 12, 2026.
