Director of Finance

About the role

Our client, a respected and growing healthcare organization , is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance/Controller to lead their financial operations and strategy. This key leadership role will oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, compliance, and fiscal management within a mission‑driven healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and audits.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare‑specific financial regulations.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership to drive operational success.
• Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Support long‑term financial planning and risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license (required)
• Healthcare industry experience (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and grant compliance
• Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Epic EHR highly preferred
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills

Compensation

Base salary $150,000–$200,000 per year + bonus.
