This role focuses on building and maintaining healthcare data exchange interfaces that enable seamless interoperability between hospitals, labs, clinics, and public health systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement healthcare interfaces using HL7 v2.x, CDA, and FHIR APIs
- Configure and support Rhapsody Integration Engine (channels, mappings, connectors)
- Develop message transformations, schemas, and integration workflows
- Support public health reporting systems such as:
- Electronic Case Reporting (eCR)
- Immunization Reporting
- Syndromic Surveillance
- Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR)
- Monitor and optimize interface performance, data accuracy, and error handling
- Troubleshoot issues related to message parsing, routing, and data exchange
- Assist in migration of integration solutions from on-premises to cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical, IT, and public health stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Rhapsody Integration Engine Professional Certification (Required)
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare interface development
- Strong experience with:
- HL7 v2.x
- CDA (Clinical Document Architecture)
- FHIR APIs (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and secure healthcare data exchange
- Understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare data structures
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience with public health data systems or reporting initiatives
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience in HL7 to FHIR migration or hybrid integration environments
- Familiarity with interoperability frameworks such as TEFCA or USCDI
- Fully remote role (CST/EST work hours)
