JOB TITLE Lead, Offline Media

REPORTS TO Director, Media Investment
Major Purpose We are looking for an experienced Paid Media Lead to develop and lead an integrated media team. This role is responsible for strategic planning across all media channels, to include TV, radio, print, outdoor, OTT & digital audio with an emphasis on offline and emerging channels, as well as offering insights, guidance to the planning and buying teams. This person will own the strategic media planning processes for select partners, which consists of developing, negotiating, executing, and monitoring paid media campaigns.
Major Responsibilities
Strategic partner engagement and communication
Lead a team of media planners and buyers and analysts that operate the following:
Researches, negotiates, and executes media plans that cost-effectively deliver on partner goals
Leverage internal and external research tools to pull audience, competitive, market, and channel insights during planning.
Collaborates with digital media partner service teams across marketing and analytics to provide integrated, cross-channel media solutions.
In addition to traditional media channels (TV, radio, print, outdoor), this position is also responsible for assisting in the planning and negotiating of advanced TV (OTT) and digital audio campaigns, including all necessary coordination, tracking, and digital reporting.
Develops and maintains media flowcharts, authorizations, and production schedules/asset summaries.
Works with partner and partner account teams to issue creative assets to vendors and QA all tags and placements.
Monitor post logs and incorporate results into partner reports, based on varying partner needs.
Monitor the Reviews, approves, and processes media billing monthly
Regularly reconciles budgets and performance, and promptly alerts the partner service account team of any issues.
Stays current on media trends and shares new opportunities with appropriate teams
Works closely with the Analytics team to regularly monitor and tracks campaign performance and suggests optimizations as needed
Drive media innovation through the testing of new partners and platforms
Requirements CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE
Leadership experience in a media related role with a thorough understanding of media planning, buying and stewardship
Working knowledge of tools (e.g. Strata, Nielsen, Scarborough)
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a media team so that the agency can deliver high-quality media plans for partners, with ideas, concepts and solutions that help us stay competitive across the marketing industry.
Ability to lead and develop people, provide meaningful feedback and manage performance. A strong professional presence is pertinent to representing the media team internally and externally.
Broad understanding of media projects, ad specifications and vendor requirements, preparing presentations and RFPs
Able to flexibly manage complex processes in a fast-paced environment.
Entrepreneurial mind with the ability to multitask and handle multiple campaigns at a time.
Detail oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong interpersonal skills to foster internal and external relationships.

Exposure to OTT and digital audio (Pandora, podcasts, etc).
Topline understanding of digital media KPIs, management, and reporting (relevant for cross channel media plans and OTT/digital audio)

Education & Experience
8+ years planning and/or buying media (TV, radio, print, and outdoor)
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Public Relations, or other related field
Physical Requirements
Periods sitting at a desk and monitoring computer (we have ergonomic sit stand desks).
