
Civil Designer

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Civil Designer in our Woodridge, IL office, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world.
You’ll change the shape of your community by supporting growth through sustainable urban development, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Land Development team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.
Here’s what you’ll do:
Shape land development and infrastructure projects, including stormwater, sanitary systems, roads and utilities.
Communicate and coordinate with team members to deliver a wide range of private, and public sector projects, by collaborating with Project Managers and other team members to deliver great projects.
Prepare reports, design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Assist your project team with civil and environmental permits and approvals.
Work with teams that understand the many aspects of water and are industry leaders in helping protect that valuable resource.
Analyze and design projects impacted by or intentionally engaging with streams, floodplain, wetlands, and other water resources.
We’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
0-6 years related experience.
Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, and MicroStation (preferred).
Familiarity with modeling/design tools (HEC-RAS, TR-20, XPSWMM (preferred but not required)).
Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling/design tools (preferred).
