Job Summary The Commercial Analyst is responsible for supporting the commercial organization through data-driven insights, forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance and Marketing to deliver actionable analytics that drive revenue growth, improve sales effectiveness, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and has a strong ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Job Goals

Support analysis requests from the commercial team

Collaborate with finance and sales to build accurate forecasts and budgets

Maintain accurate customer data within our NetSuite system and in the CRM

Job Responsibilities Sales Performance & Reporting

Develop, maintain, and automate recurring sales performance reports, dashboards, and scorecards.

Track KPIs such as pipeline health, revenue performance, and customer insights.

Build data visualizations and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional partners

Forecasting & Planning

Support sales forecasting and budget processes.

Partner with Sales Leadership to understand pipeline quality and drivers behind changes.

Provide variance analysis against budget and prior periods.

Revenue & Pricing Analytics

Evaluate pricing, discounting, deal structure, and margin trends.

Support commercial teams with deal modeling and profitability analysis.

Operational Support & Process Improvement

Collaborate with Sales to improve CRM data accuracy and pipeline hygiene.

Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements to forecasting, analytics, and reporting workflows.

Support the development of scalable tools, models, and dashboards across the commercial organization

Strategic Insights & Presentations

Provide insights for quarterly business reviews and commercial strategy sessions

Deliver ROI analysis aligned to sales initiatives and customer opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field

2+ years of experience in commercial analysis, FP&A, or business intelligence.

Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and financial modeling.

Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce or HubSpot preferred)

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong business acumen and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
