
Loan Servicing Manager

Vontive is a growing FinTech company focused on leveraging our proprietary technology to make accessing capital fast and simple for real estate investors involved in fix-and-flip projects or rental properties purchases. Vontive recently internalized its loan servicing operations and is now developing a robust loan servicing unit with a clear strategy for expanding its capabilities and responsibilities.
Position Summary Vontive seeks a Manager of Loan Administration & Processing, who is a dedicated people leader and operations expert—to take immediate ownership of a core segment of our loan administration and processing function. This role is crucial for scaling our operational capacity and ensuring high-quality, compliant servicing.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and reconcile daily ACH activity through the Willow (servicing) platform, serving as the final point of escalation for payment exceptions and returns
Lead the processing and quality control of all non-standard payments, including wire transfers, checks, and manual adjustments
Own the process for quality-check payoff quotes within 24-hour SLA
Coordinate payoff approvals with capital partners
Serve as the subject matter expert to manage the execution of complex transactions, including loan modifications, assumptions, and ownership transfers
Direct the processing of balance adjustments and interest rate changes
Manage the full Escrow function, overseeing disbursement analysis and coordinating tax and insurance payments
Coordinate Insurance tracking with 3rd party provider and maintain accurate record of FPI in servicing system
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accurate loan-level data across origination and servicing platforms
Supervise the timely Verifications of Mortgage and IRS tax reporting (1098s)
Own the design and implementation of automated exception reporting and payment monitoring protocols to proactively mitigate risk
Drive the strategic growth of the loan administration function, taking responsibility to build, onboard, and train the initial loan administration team as the portfolio expands
Ramp Plan Requirement Must be willing to commit the first 30-60 days to intensive shadowing of current analysts, managing a small, controlled caseload for hands‑on learning, and participating in joint process reviews with the existing leadership.
Required Qualifications
4-6 years of experience in mortgage servicing and operations, with a strong emphasis on loan administration, payment processing, and team leadership
Proven track record of managing, coaching, and scaling high‑performing operations teams
Expert knowledge of mortgage payment application and interest calculations
Experience with construction loan draw processing and disbursements
Strong understanding of ACH operations and return codes
Proficiency with servicing platforms and payment processing systems
Detail‑oriented with proven accuracy in financial transactions
Expertise in Process Re‑engineering, SLA/Queue Management, and Compliance
Ability to commute to San Antonio office (hybrid)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
