Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including advanced semiconductor manufacturing and other state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facilities.

In this role, you will contribute from day one by developing design concepts and technical studies that support client decision‑making, as well as overseeing the production of detailed drawing packages for high‑tech buildings that include cleanrooms, manufacturing, and hazardous materials. You will work across all phases of design and continue supporting projects through construction and post‑construction client engagement.

Responsibilities include participating in presentations, attending client meetings, conducting existing site analysis, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and consultants to advance project goals. As a professional, you will provide technical and analytical expertise to our Site‑Based Advanced Facilities team and help deliver state‑of‑the‑art industrial and high‑tech manufacturing facilities.

You will apply strong design, communication, and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment while supporting engineering strategies and coordinating with clients and subcontractors. During construction, you will be a key contributor through site visits, review of submittals and RFIs, and other activities that build a comprehensive foundation in project delivery.

Here’s what you’ll need

On the path to Architectural license; Enrolled in Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and/or enrolled in Architectural Registration Exams (ARE).

Strong presentation and graphic skills

At least 2 years of experience in an Architectural Firm, designing commercial buildings

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Willingness to learn and receive mentoring

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Basic experience or familiarity with preparing design drawings across all project phases, from schematic design through construction documentation, including associated project deliverables.

Strong communication skills for client meetings and team collaboration

Ability to manage priorities and deadlines

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Ability to execute tasks effectively

Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with semiconductor facilities.

Experience with innovative or complex design projects

Prior experience coordinating with consultants and multidisciplinary teams

Experience on small and large teams

Experience with project scoping and development

Experience with NavisWorks and/or Revit BIM software

Ability for forward thinking, eagerness to learn best practices, and to contribute with innovative ideas

Displayed ability to learn quickly and a drive to broaden knowledge base

Passion for buildings and construction

Other Requirements Location: This is a hybrid remote work position requiring work to be performed primarily remotely but requires some in‑office, and project site attendance. Candidate must be willing to travel to project sites on an as‑needed basis; up to 25% of travel across the lower 48 states.

Physical Requirements

Position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. Applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.

Authorized to Work

Applicant must complete background check, drug screen and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a Visa for this position.

The base salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $90,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
