Junior Estimator

We’re looking for a Junior Estimator who wants to build a career in heavy civil construction. In this role, you’ll work directly with experienced estimators, project managers, and field teams to learn how real projects are priced, planned, and won.
This is a great opportunity for someone with some construction, engineering, or field experience who is eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
Assist with quantity takeoffs for sitework, utilities, and general civil construction projects Learn and use industry estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, Agtek, HeavyBid — no prior experience required, we’ll train you) Review plans, specifications, and project documents to understand scope Help gather and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes Support the preparation of bids and proposals, including basic cost estimates and documentation Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to understand how projects are actually built What We’re Looking For
0–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, estimating, or a related field (internships and field experience count) Exposure to construction drawings or plans (through school or work) Comfortable with Excel and basic math Strong attention to detail and organization Willingness to learn, ask questions, and be part of a team Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience with takeoff or estimating software Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar Why This Role
