Truss Designer II

Job Summary
Designer II is responsible for the accurate design of the roof and floor trusses, walls, and components for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Design metal plate-connected wood trusses and wall panels utilizing Mitek software.
Optimize designs for maximum efficiency.
Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy.
Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
Minimum high school graduate.
Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities.
Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred.
Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars.
