Our client, a growing apparel brand, is seeking a Women's Technical Designer to join their team in New York.
Responsibilities:
Create, review, and maintain detailed technical specifications (specs) for new and existing designs, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all categories.
Collect, organize, and manage fit samples; provide clear approval comments and recommend necessary adjustments to achieve optimal fit and quality.
Maintain and update fit sample logs and charts, ensuring all sample information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
Apply strong grading knowledge to ensure size consistency across women’s, men’s, and kids’ product ranges.
Partner closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to uphold brand standards and improve overall product quality and fit.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field preferred.
Senior-level experience with strong background in women’s knits (required), as well as men’s and kidswear.
Extensive knowledge of grading techniques and fit processes.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office.
Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
