As an Assistant Technical Designer – Apparel on the Consumer Products team, you will support the execution of global merchandise by focusing on technical documentation, artwork preparation, and day-to-day production coordination. Working closely with the apparel designer and production team, you’ll help ensure creative concepts are translated into accurate, manufacturing-ready garments.
In this role, you’ll build detailed tech packs, prepare production-ready art files, and support the handoff process to factories. You’ll collaborate with game teams and internal partners to receive artwork and transform it into clean, vectorized, color-separated files optimized for screen printing and apparel construction. Your strong graphic design fluency will be critical in adapting assets into apparel-ready formats while keeping color limitations, print methods, and garment constraints in mind.
Responsibilities
Prepare production-ready artwork early in the process
Own technical details so designers can focus on creative execution
Support factory communication and timeline management
Reduce bottlenecks and prevent rework downstream
Support the apparel design and production teams as a technical execution partner
Create and maintain tech packs for printables, cut & sew garments, and accessories
Translate artwork from internal teams into clean, vectorized formats for apparel use
Adapt artwork to meet screen printing limitations, color restrictions, and garment construction constraints
Ensure proper image sizing and placement for t-shirts, hoodies, and accessories
Apply hands-on knowledge of screen printing fundamentals, including Simulated Spot Process printing
Prepare production-ready artwork for apparel applications
Sample Management : receiving, logging and upkeep samples as they arrive.
Occasionally design simple graphic artwork (primarily t-shirts and hoodies)
Required Qualifications
Experience in technical design, apparel production, or product development
Hands‑on experience with Simulated Spot Process printing
Hands‑on experience vectoring artwork for apparel production
Strong understanding of screen printing fundamentals
Knowledge of proper image sizing and placement for t-shirts and hoodies
Proven ability to create highly detailed tech packs
Understanding of garment construction, manufacturing workflows, and costing
Strong graphic design fundamentals with apparel 3‑4 years experience
Experience preparing artwork for screen printing, cut & sew, and accessories
Familiarity adapting artwork from non‑apparel teams into production‑ready assets
