We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Structural Designer

to join the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) organization, supporting factory and refinery infrastructure projects across multiple North American locations. In this role, you will work on both greenfield and existing facilities, collaborating closely with cross‑disciplinary engineering teams in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll contribute to innovative, highly detailed structural system designs fully integrated with advanced manufacturing and refining processes.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

Support the design and construction of new projects and renovations across industrial, manufacturing, and office facilities at various Tesla sites.

Manage high‑quality BIM (Revit) models and develop 3D engineering designs.

Prepare plan drawings, sections/elevations, installation details, and schedules for permitting and construction under the guidance of the Lead Designer/Engineer.

Coordinate structural design and modeling efforts with multidisciplinary teams—including Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping/Plumbing (MEP) disciplines.

Collaborate with BIM/CAD support to refine and apply structural design standards, integrating updates into existing facility models.

Assist Lead Engineer/Designer in gathering information and crafting Requests for Information (RFIs).

Support the development of material take‑offs.

Help implement structural engineering solutions and prepare design packages for 30%, 60%, and 90% model review milestones.

Requirements (What You’ll Bring)

ITE drafting certification or equivalent experience.

Minimum 4 years of civil/structural drafting experience for building or industrial projects, or equivalent.

Demonstrated experience developing BIM content (families, parametric formulas, nested components, type catalogs).

Expert‑level proficiency with

Revit Structural ; strong skills in

AutoCAD ,

Navisworks ,

Bluebeam , and

Microsoft Office .

Ability to work effectively with limited supervision, prioritize tasks, communicate clearly, and adapt to evolving project requirements.

Willingness and flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.

Highly motivated, self‑directed, and strong written/verbal communication skills.
