Valuations Manager, Hedge Funds

My client, a boutique Hedge Fund is looking for a Valuations Manager to join their expanding Fund Accounting team in a newly created position. Our client works out of Evanston, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy of daily/monthly P&L reporting with the fund administrator

Review financial statements and prepare reports for investors and senior management

Build and maintain valuation models for equities, options, and credit products

Support fair value assessments under ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement

Maintain valuation documentation for audits and regulatory reviews

Assist with annual fund audits and regulatory reporting to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Reconcile valuations and support process improvements and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

5-8 years in hedge funds, finance, accounting, or wealth management

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Experience valuing equities, options, and credit instruments

Strong knowledge of fair value accounting (ASC 820)

Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
