Position Overview The Retail Leasing Specialist will play a key role in executing leasing strategy across a portfolio of high‑profile mixed‑use and retail developments. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals with best‑in‑class tenants while helping shape the merchandising vision of each project. This is a highly entrepreneurial role suited for someone who understands how great places are built—not just leased.

Key Responsibilities Leasing & Deal Execution

Prospect, source, and secure retail, restaurant, and experiential tenants

Negotiate Letters of Intent and lease agreements on behalf of landlords

Manage deals from initial outreach through execution and opening

Maintain strong pipeline reporting and leasing activity tracking

Tenant Curation & Strategy

Collaborate with ownership to define and refine tenant mix strategies

Identify emerging brands and concepts aligned with each project’s vision

Actively recruit local, regional, and national tenants

Travel to key markets to source and meet with prospective tenants

Client & Landlord Representation

Serve as a trusted advisor to landlords on positioning, pricing, and merchandising

Provide market insights, leasing comps, and strategic recommendations

Assist in asset repositioning and lease‑up strategies

Marketing & Business Development

Support leasing campaigns, outreach initiatives, and industry events

Build and maintain relationships with brokers, tenants, and operators

Contribute to project storytelling, branding, and placemaking efforts

Qualifications

3–7+ years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in retail leasing

Strong understanding of retail, restaurant, and mixed‑use environments

Proven ability to source deals and close transactions

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through

Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial mindset

Preferred Experience

Experience with ground‑up developments or adaptive reuse projects

Existing relationships with retail and restaurant operators

Familiarity with the Tampa Bay / Florida retail market
