Position Overview Under the direction and supervision of the program director/team leader, the Individual Placement and Support/Supported Education Specialist (IPS) assists participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining employment or educational opportunities aligned with their recovery goals. Services are community-based and focused on rapid engagement rather than prolonged assessment.

Salary $40,000-$45,000

Shift Monday-Friday, 3 weekdays and 2 evenings

Location Joliet, IL

Reports To Site Supervisor

Network Or Department Network 9

Essential Functions

Assists participants in identifying, obtaining, and maintaining employment or educational opportunities

Willingness to be trained in the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support model

Coordinates with the Community Support Specialist to integrate vocational and educational goals into the treatment plan

Participates in weekly team meetings and ongoing consultation with the Team Leader

Provides individualized coaching

Communicates with employers or educational institutions

Supports participants in maintaining successful employment outcomes

Monitors progress toward recovery goals.

Maintains service records, database, and statistics.

Submits documentation for services in a timely fashion

Ensure that all documentation and communications align with Trinity Services’ mission, values, and operational needs.

Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner

Handle all confidential information in a professional and secure manner

Other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

Ability and knowledge of basic computer programs for service documentation and report writing

Trained in the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support model

Demonstrated knowledge of correct procedures for Medicaid billing

Strong communication skills and comfort with public speaking

Teaching skills, non-judgmental personality, and empathic listening skills

Physical Demands

Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment

Physical activities that could be used include: pulling, pushing, standing, grasping, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field or current

Completion of Quality Behavior Solutions (QBS) Safety Care training, CPR, and First aid (upon hire).
