Position Summary The Hematology Sales Specialist is a field‑based position responsible for driving instrument capital and reagent/consumable sales in the Hematology product lines. The Sales Specialist reports to the National Sales Director, Lab Diagnostics, and operates as a key member of the local sales team, which includes the Diagnostics sales force. The team works collectively to exceed annual revenue targets.
Responsibilities
Works closely with the Diagnostics sales force to identify customers who are in the buying cycle for new Hematology equipment, including current customers and new prospects.
Coordinates all sales‑opportunity activities such as account management, technical presentations, financial proposals, customer references, site visits, positioning Siemens solutions versus competitors, equipment demonstrations, contracting, negotiating, and supporting customers throughout implementation.
Exhibits strong Customer Relationship Management skills using Siemens’s CRM systems to ensure appropriate sales‑funnel activity, opportunity progression, and forecasting. Completes activity tracking and business‑review reporting as requested and uses strategic account‑planning tools to communicate account strategies across the organization.
Cultivates long‑term relationships with key decision makers to ensure they become referenceable accounts and develops plans to exceed revenue/growth expectations, maximize customer profitability, and maintain satisfaction/loyalty.
Works cross‑functionally with Marketing, the Technical Applications Organization, and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Hospital sales experience.
Experience selling capital equipment; laboratory/diagnostic experience is a strong plus.
Experience using a CRM.
Experience using Miller Heiman is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 75%.
Ability to lead without authority.
Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Minimum age 21 to participate in Siemens required vehicle plan.
Compensation and Benefits Base Pay: $85,600 – $117,700. Variable compensation eligible for up to $65,000, not capped. Any stated bonus or incentive amounts are target or estimated earnings and are not guaranteed. Actual payouts depend on performance and plan terms.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life, long‑term and short‑term disability, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time.
Client Access and Credentialing Position requires full access to Siemens Healthineers client sites. Clients may require Vendor Credentialing, including proof of valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations (COVID‑19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus), annual TB testing, and healthcare training. These must be met and maintained throughout employment.
