Job Description Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize short‑term and long‑term sales performance, placing the patient at the center of any efforts and operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets and marketing objectives to meet or exceed these objectives.
Create pre‑call plans using SMART objectives and execute post‑call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns and consistently drive logical and reasonable actions to close on every sales call.
Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements with AbbVie customers.
Develop and execute a call plan that meets call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers, maximizing access and sales opportunities.
Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise, and share this market intelligence with the field team, brand team and sales manager to achieve alignment, anticipate environmental changes and optimize brand strategy and execution.
Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers, identify, develop and maintain disease‑state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
Significant Work Activities
Drive a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business or a related field.
3‑5 years of field experience, with prior experience within the pharmaceutical industry highly desired.
Demonstrated superior scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
Assists Brand Team in identifying key market trends that could impact brand performance.
Leads by example and consistently displays positive behaviors and peer coaching through changing and challenging environments.
Demonstrates an extraordinary ability to connect the dots, maximizing market opportunities.
Takes ownership by resolving problems and considers the implications on the larger organization.
Executes with an account‑management and cross‑functional mindset.
Willing to work across the island.
Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record in good standing.

The compensation range described below is a range of possible base pay that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of posting, based on the job grade. Individual compensation will depend on many factors including geographic location, and may be modified in the future.
