Role Description
This is a full-time, M-F on-site role for a Real Estate Paralegal based in Berwyn, IL. The Real Estate Paralegal will support 2-3 attorneys and manage tasks related to legal document preparation, due diligence, title insurance and survey review, and other tasks associated with residential real estate transactions. The role involves close collaboration with attorneys and the Real Estate Department to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with legal standards. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Initial contact with potential new clients File maintenance throughout a transactions life-cycle Draft legal documents, review title and survey documents, prepare closing statements, manage deadlines. Maintain consistent communication with clients and third-party stakeholders Collaborate with other paralegals to complete projects and coordinate real estate closings; Create and maintain spreadsheets using Excel and other organizational platforms Use case management software daily to catalog documents, client information, and track important dates according to real estate closings or court. Schedule meetings/closings and properly notify all parties. Qualifications
2+ years of paralegal experience in residential real estate Prior experience in a law firm and/or real estate/legal support role preferred Expertise in Contract drafting and Due Diligence for real estate transactions Proficiency in Title Insurance and knowledge of associated processes Familiarity with Real Estate practices and regulations Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with team members
