Specification Sales Manager

Saint Louis Lighting Group is looking for a driven and motivated individual to join our team as a Specification Sales Manager to expand our relationships with architects and designers in the St. Louis market. This is an opportunity to build and advance your career within an organization that is building an entrepreneurial and dynamic sales team to drive success. As specification sales manager for SLLG, you will be responsible for promoting a linecard including some of the premier brands in lighting through sales presentations, project support, and industry events.

Position Profile

Actively promote SLLG linecard to assigned accounts including architects, lighting designers and electrical engineers.

Cultivate new and enhance existing relationships to increase product visibility on project specifications.

Represent SLLG at local industry events including tradeshows, conferences, and industry events including evenings.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and employees at all levels.

Develop and support project specifications through superior project management practices and collaboration.

Prepare forecasts, budgets, and other projections as required.

Keep senior management informed of account performance and changes in market affecting business with recommendations for improvements/changes.

Occasional travel to conferences or partner manufacturer facilities with customers.

Professional Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; background preferred in one of the following: architectural lighting, architecture, interior design, electrical engineering.

Excellent teamwork skills.

Exceptional multi-tasking capabilities.

Strong working knowledge of windows-based software programs, Adobe Acrobat and Creative Suite applications, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.

Ideal Professional Experience would include one, or two, of following:

Professional experience within architectural, interior design, electrical engineering, or construction industry

Knowledge of, or passion for, lighting, lighting design and/or lighting controls in the architectural environment

Sales ability including negotiation, presentation and communication skills

Experience selling materials within the architectural environment
