
Metro NYC Commercial/Architectural Lighting Specification Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven architectrual lighting sales manager with three plus year of experience working on driving rapid sales growth for a commercial lighting manufacturer. Must have demonstrated recent experience growing individual specification sales.
We are seeking candidates located within metro NYC/New Jersey/Long Island market.
You will bring minimum of three years of experience as a specification/regional sales manager working on commercial lighting sales working directly with owners, developers, architects, and designers.
Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a NYC region sales manager for a well respected, fast growing $100 million annual revenue commercial/architectrual lighting organization. The sales manager will be responsible for working with specifiers, contractors, distributors, and managing a network of rep agencies across NYC Market.
This role involves reviewing and understanding project requirements, conducting lunch and learns, attending trade shows, driving sales through story tell and building a narrative by demonstrating the why us vs. them.
Additional tasks include collaborating with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers, as well as preparing and submitting proposals and bids. The sales manager will also stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications
Atleast three year of work experience as a specification sales manager for commercial lighting projects in metro NYC market
Experience in cost estimating, budget analysis, and project management
Knowledge of lighting design, electrical systems, and relevant codes and standards
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and remotely
Relevant certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field is a plus
This is the ideal role for an outgoing specification sales manager, who wants to be rewarded for his/her efforts in driving new business. Must have a high degree of urgency and the mindset to operate like an individual startup. This role is not suitable for someone accustomed to a corporate driven environment. Individual sales is the only criteria for success measurement at this company. Must be willing to work in a fast moving environment.
Remote role offering base salary between 130k to 170k DOE plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package including Tuition reimbursement. Fully remote within metro NYC market.
