Customer Service Representative

Florida Tile is seeking a high level Customer Service Representative to maintain day to day customer responsibilities at the branch and to serve as a key player in helping to manage large commercial projects. The CSR responsibilities include the processing of customer orders received either in person, via telephone, fax or internet. The CSR will assist the BM/BOM and other branch associates as needed. The CSR will also assist in daily task performance including invoicing; receiving and locating inventory, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operations

Accurately perform order entry process, to include product, quantity and price verification

Confirm orders placed by customers via phone/fax/internet

Perform stock and price checks for customers and other branches

Provide freight/shipment information (cost/tracking/etc) to customers/branches in a timely and accurate manner

Apply freight and handling expenses to orders so as to be able to effectively invoice customers for related expenses

Regularly follow up with customers as to the status of their order(s)

Perform other daily tasks as directed by BM/BOM

Assist and maintain local warehouse inventory

Sales Related Responsibilities

Promote add-on sales at the time of order entry via the promotion of sundries and other related items

Assist trade and showroom customers in the selection of products

Assist commercial sales reps with projects to include quotes, placing and tracking orders and maintain up to date knowledge of local warehouse inventory

Understand and maintain up to date knowledge of trends in the tile industry to help best serve customers

Acquire a high level of product knowledge about the company’s products and be able to effectively respond to inquiries as they relate to the recommended (or restricted) use

Maintain the CSR work area in an organized manner that is conducive to sales and service

Provide support to the OSR/BCSS and Design Sales Consultant in the performance of their duties. Assist as directed by BM/BOM

Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities at once.

Customer service experience with a manufacturer of building products preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SAP software experience, CMS experiences a plus.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
