The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter (2D/Creo Conversion) for a prominent client. This would be Remote role, with occasional, 1-2x/month onsite for meetings.
Shift Information
Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Remote Position! There would only be onsite meetings at the Mebane, NC office 1-2 times per month.
Pay range is $35-45/hr!
12-Month contract to start! This is a W2 Contract (No 1099/C2C), with a possibility of extension or conversion beyond the original duration based on performance & budget at that time.

Job Description
Position is primarily responsible for creating and modifying precise 2D drafting blocks using AutoCAD for components and assemblies.
Position will also be responsible for redrawing existing drafting blocks, converting 3D models into accurate 2D representations, and ensuring drawings meet established drafting standards and dimensional requirements.
Position will be in charge of collaborating with engineering teams to interpret specifications, maintaining organized drawing documentation and version control, and supporting project timelines through accurate and detail-oriented drafting execution.
Qualifications
Proficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modeling software is required!
Strong understanding of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and drafting standards is required!
4-8 years of professional drafting experience with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills is required!
Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field is required!
Experience working within mechanical or industrial design environments is preferred!
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field is preferred!
