
Supply Chain Manager - Director (Procurement)

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.
This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.
The Role: We are seeking experienced Procurement professionals across levels to build and scale our procurement and supply chain capabilities as the company continues to grow. The ideal candidate combines strategic sourcing experience with operational rigor, and is excited to build systems, processes, and supplier networks that support long‑term growth.
Depending on level and experience, responsibilities may include:
1. Procurement Systems & Operational Infrastructure
Design and implement scalable procurement processes and systems that enable efficient purchasing, planning, and supplier coordination
ERP onboarding, including supplier setup, purchasing workflows, and data governance
Develop materials planning frameworks, including safety stock policies, inventory buffers, and procurement forecasting aligned with production and demand planning
Establish standardized procurement workflows, documentation, and reporting systems
Build dashboards and tracking tools to improve procurement visibility across suppliers, inventory, and purchasing cycles
2. Supply Chain Resilience & Redundancy
Strengthen the company’s supply chain to ensure continuity, flexibility, and risk mitigation as operations scale
Develop multi‑sourcing strategies and identify qualified secondary suppliers
Map supply chain risk and implement contingency plans for key raw materials and packaging components
Partner cross‑functionally with Commercialization, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure reliable supply continuity
Build long‑term supply strategies that balance reliability, flexibility, and scalability
3. Supplier Management & Strategic Negotiations
Build and manage strong supplier relationships that support long‑term operational success
Lead contract negotiations, pricing agreements, and supplier performance reviews
Establish supplier scorecards and performance management frameworks
Collaborate with suppliers to drive service improvements, lead time reductions, and operational alignment
4. Procurement Optimization & Value Creation
Drive continuous improvement across procurement operations to maximize efficiency and long‑term value
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing efficiency and supply chain economics
Analyze procurement data to support strategic sourcing decisionsPartner with Finance and Supply Chain functions to support scalable purchasing strategies as the business grows
Lead initiatives that improve supplier terms, operational efficiencies, and procurement performance
What you’ll bring:
5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or vendor management roles, with experience in a high‑growth or CPG environment strongly preferred
Strong foundation in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and procurement planning
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, including purchase order execution, supplier setup, and inventory‑related workflows
Solid understanding of supply chain operations in a CPG, manufacturing, or inventory‑heavy environment, including experience with co‑manufacturers, packaging suppliers, and/or 3PLs
High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Self‑starter who enjoys building processes from the ground up and operating in a fast‑paced environment
Clear and confident communicator able to collaborate effectively across operations, finance, planning, and external partners
Excitement about helping build an early‑stage CPG company with a mission to help people increase muscle and decrease fat
Practicalities:
This is a full‑time role.
Salary: $150,000 - $250,000 per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets
