Intermediate Interior Designer - Private Residences

A highly esteemed Architecture & Design firm in the heart of NYC is seeking an Intermediate Interior Designer to join their talented team. Renowned for blending contemporary flair with enduring sophistication, this prestigious studio has a distinguished reputation for its impressive array of luxury residences. This role involves leading interior design projects from concept through completion, serving as one of the primary points of contact for clients. You’ll collaborate with the principal to shape each project’s vision, prepare and present design concepts, and provide creative leadership to the project team. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you’ll work closely with clients, architects, contractors, and artisans to deliver exceptional spaces that meet the highest standards of design and service. Key responsibilities include sourcing and specifying materials, designing custom furniture, developing visual presentations, managing budgets and timelines, and producing detailed project documentation such as drawings, specifications, and schedules. You’ll play an active role in construction administration and ensure projects are executed with precision and attention to detail. The position requires strong problem-solving abilities, organization, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Google Suite is required, along with experience in all design phases from concept through installation. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in-person in New York City with high-profile clientele.
