We are seeking a talented

Art Director

to join our dynamic team. The Packaging Art Director/Designer will work closely with the design and sales teams to develop innovative packaging solutions that meet business needs and enhance the overall customer experience.

The Art Director will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize and develop innovative packaging designs, guiding projects from ideation through final production. This role will be responsible for creating new product concepts and mood boards that set the direction for current and future packaging initiatives, ensuring development is delivered on time and within budget.

The Art Director will also provide creative direction and mentorship to a team of packaging designers, retouchers, photographers, and production artists while remaining deeply involved in the design process. With strong technical expertise in packaging, this role will serve as a key contributor to packaging initiatives, including the creation and maintenance of a standards library and the review of quality and color targets to ensure a premium aesthetic and consistent quality across all packaging designs.

Experience with tooling unique shapes and complex printing processes is critical. This is a

full-time, on-site position located in New York, NY.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or a related field preferred

8–12+ years of experience

in graphic design and branding, preferably within

Tech Accessories, Consumer Products, Hydration, Beauty, or Fashion

Expert knowledge of

Adobe Creative Suite , specifically

Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in

packaging design and brand execution

Experience working with

various packaging types, materials, and production methods

Expertise designing across multiple

consumer touchpoints , including social media, e-commerce, imagery, layout design, visual merchandising, product marketing, and packaging

Modern, elevated aesthetic with a strong attention to detail

Deep understanding of

complex printing processes, file preparation, and production requirements

Experience managing projects and executing from customer specifications

Strong leadership and mentorship skills with the ability to guide creative teams and maintain design quality standards

Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to fast-changing business needs

Ability to

multi-task, manage time effectively, and perform under tight deadlines

Experience in

fast-paced environments

preferred

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams

Knowledge of

tech and beauty industry packaging trends , as well as competitive products

Responsibilities

Lead the

conceptualization, design, and execution of packaging solutions

across a wide variety of products and brands while maintaining project timelines

Collaborate closely with

design, branding, and sales teams

to ensure creative alignment and successful product launches

Guide and mentor packaging designers and creative contributors, fostering a collaborative and creative environment

Conduct

market and trend research

to identify design trends, competitor strategies, and consumer preferences

Support the development and evolution of

brand identities , ensuring consistency across packaging and related marketing materials

Create

product renderings, visual concepts, and physical mockups

to communicate design intent

Develop multiple design iterations across product lines and brand portfolios

Produce

high-quality imagery

through advanced photo retouching and manipulation for packaging and presentations

Help establish and maintain a

packaging standards and materials library

to support design consistency and technical accuracy
