Job Summary We are looking for a
Customer Account Analyst I
in the Revenue Cycle Department. The role requires exceptional patient service, problem‑solving, and a collaborative spirit in a fast‑paced call center. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a team environment and are committed to improving the patient financial experience.
What You'll Do
Participate in a comprehensive 12‑week training program.
Use our knowledge‑based software to access documents and adapt to training in real time.
Deliver world‑class patient experiences by handling billing inquiries with professionalism and care.
Accurately update patient demographics.
Resolve billing concerns and provide clear, empathetic support.
Navigate challenging conversations with patience and professionalism.
Collaborate with Customer Account Analysts, Team Leads, and Supervisors to improve processes and enhance patient satisfaction.
Shift: 8 am‑5 pm (non‑negotiable).
Work From Home (WFH) is available; must reside in Texas.

Required
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of directly related medical billing and customer service experience for billing inquiries.
Preferred
Some college education.
Job Duties
Answer all incoming patient/client calls.
Take credit‑card payments over the telephone and post to patient accounts.
Set up monthly payment plans on patient accounts.
Add or correct insurance registration and file claims accordingly.
Update demographics based on patient calls.
Document all actions taken in the system account notes.
Review accounts to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate payment posting.
Transfer calls and/or accounts to the Patient Financial Advocate for complex issues.
Attend seminars, webinars, workshops, and training activities.
Maintain knowledge of university policies and regulations impacting billing operations.
Perform duties that may involve interacting with patients, research participants, and record management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing software.
Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain friendly, appropriate communication with patients and insurance companies.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
Office setting.
Salary Salary negotiable based on experience.
