Motion Graphic Designer

CatchBack Cards (YC W26) is an innovative trading card platform that revolutionizes the card collecting experience by combining digital pack openings with physical card backing. Customers can open digital packs to reveal cards stored securely in our vault and trade, sell, or request delivery at their convenience. Our platform also offers custom pack creation, allowing users to specify their preferred hits and odds, while facilitating easy card transactions with competitive fees.

Role Description This is a full-time role for a Motion Graphic Designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Motion Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating dynamic motion graphics, designing engaging visual content, and contributing to video production efforts. This includes developing innovative animations, collaborating with the team to align visuals with branding, and delivering high-quality assets for various multimedia platforms.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Motion Design and Motion Graphics creation

Strong expertise in Video Production

Advanced skills in Graphic Design and Graphics creation

Ability to ship out deliverables in fast-paced environment

Experience with 3D modeling and animation with projects made in Blender, Cinema3D, or AI generation workflows with ComfyUI

Ability to work with tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop

Exceptional creativity and attention to detail with a strong visual design sense

Familiarity with current motion graphic design trends

Experience in a start-up environment or familiarity with trading card culture is a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics or related field is preferred

Must be based in San Francisco Bay Area. Open to hybrid position with mix of in-office and remote days.
