Senior Advocate Placement Agent
Assisted Living Locators, Charlotte, NC, United States
Assisted Living Locators | Charlotte, NC | 1099 Contract | Commission + Bonus
About the Role
Assisted Living Locators is expanding its footprint in the Charlotte metro area and seeking an experienced Senior Advocate Placement Agent to join our team as an independent contractor. This is a high-impact, relationship-driven role for someone passionate about serving seniors and their families during one of life's most pivotal transitions. Our service is 100% free to families — we're compensated by the care community or provider selected — which means your job is to be a trusted advisor, not a salesperson.
What You'll Do
Conduct in-depth assessments with seniors and their families to understand care needs, budget, lifestyle preferences, and urgency
Match clients to the right senior living options — independent living, assisted living, memory care, and in-home care — across Charlotte and surrounding communities
Personally accompany clients on tours and serve as their advocate through the entire decision process
Build and maintain a strong referral network with hospital discharge planners, social workers, geriatric care managers, physicians, and elder law attorneys
Manage an active case pipeline with consistent follow-up and responsive communication
Stay current on community inventory, pricing, incentives, and quality ratings in your territory
Document client interactions and placement outcomes accurately in our CRM
What We're Looking For
3+ years in senior care placement, geriatric social work, healthcare sales, discharge planning, or a closely related field
Deep familiarity with senior living care levels and the NC regulatory environment
Exceptional interpersonal skills — you lead with empathy and build trust quickly
Self-directed and entrepreneurial; comfortable operating independently
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously
Reliable transportation and willingness to conduct tours and home visits throughout the greater Charlotte area
CNA, LPN, Social Work, or senior care certification is a plus but not required
Compensation This is a commission-based 1099 engagement with performance bonuses available. Base commission is paid per successful placement at competitive market rates. Bonus opportunities are tied to placement volume, client satisfaction, and referral partner development — top-performing agents in this model easily earn six figures annually. Compensation details provided during the interview process.
Non-Compete Agreement As a condition of this engagement, contractors are required to sign a non-compete and non-solicitation agreement. During the term of the contract and for a period of 12 months following its conclusion, you agree not to provide senior care placement or referral services — independently or through a competing agency — within the defined Charlotte metro service territory. You also agree not to solicit clients, referral partners, or care community relationships developed during your engagement with Assisted Living Locators. This agreement is designed to protect the referral relationships and market presence we build together.
This role is structured as a 1099 independent contractor engagement. You set your own schedule, use your own resources, and operate autonomously. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses. This position does not include employee benefits.
