is seeking a
Development Manager
to support and expand institutional fundraising efforts. This role plays an important part in securing funding that supports programs addressing challenges such as food insecurity, housing instability, and other critical community needs.
The Development Manager will partner with leadership and program teams to identify funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals that support impactful programs across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
Lead the development and submission of grant proposals, contract applications, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Collaborate with program leaders to develop strong program narratives and proposal budgets
Monitor and track institutional funding opportunities aligned with program priorities
Attend bidder conferences and gather information related to government funding opportunities
Maintain accurate records of letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and funding submissions
Review and edit grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and competitiveness
Support preparation of annual funding requests and reporting requirements
Ensure all submissions meet required guidelines and deadlines
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field
3–5 years of nonprofit development or grant writing experience
Demonstrated success writing and managing grant proposals
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Excellent organizational and collaboration skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
