About The Role This is an on-site position at our upcoming San Jose location. Travel to client offices and other sites is required. The Business Banking Officer is primarily responsible for driving growth by identifying, prospecting and acquiring new commercial banking clients. Primary responsibility will be promoting banking products and services to generate new business to drive growth and help achieve the bank achieve goals. Success in this role will be driven by the ability to support new business development and foster long-term client relationships. This role is critical to achieving revenue targets and enhancing the Bank’s market presence.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through calls, emails, networking,referrals, and other outreach activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure high levels ofsatisfaction and retention.
Enhance business with existing client relationships.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets as set by management.
Identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions to maximize value for both the client and the Bank.
Collaborate with internal teams to cross-sell bank products and services where appropriate.
Participate in sales meetings, represent WCCB at networking and community events.
Frequently travel to attend meetings and events, to client offices and other sites as required.
Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and services.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in banking or financial services.
Proven ability to provide excellent client service.
Understanding of and experience in local markets with a solid base of contacts.
