MSC Cruises is seeking a strategic and creative

Social Media Content Strategist

to join its U.S. Social Media team. This is a part-time contractor role (20 hrs/week).

We are looking for a highly conceptual thinker with a deep understanding of social media platforms, especially TikTok. This person must be fluent in platform best practices and capable of developing breakthrough content strategies and campaign ideas that maximize reach, engagement, and brand impact.

The ideal candidate brings big brand experience and knows how to translate business objectives into socially native concepts that ladder up to campaign messaging. They should be well-versed in emerging cultural trends, know what it takes to go viral, and be comfortable in developing content frameworks.

Strong creative instincts, excellent writing skills, and a portfolio of social-first content ideas brought to life—especially on TikTok—are essential.

Your Impact

Own content strategy and planning for social media channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand tone

Develop high-impact, social-first content concepts and campaign frameworks across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.)

Collaborate closely with social media producer and editor to guide execution and ensure social content stays relevant and trend-forward

Translate complex brand messages into clear, engaging, and scroll-stopping social content

Use platform analytics, trends, and cultural insights to inform ideation and optimize content strategy

Concept ideas that perform well within platform specs and are optimized for reach, retention, and engagement

Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide proactive creative ideas that push the brand forward on social

Your Journey so far

Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field

5+ years of experience in social content strategy, preferably working on major consumer brands

Strong portfolio showcasing strategic social content work, especially campaigns or ideas developed for TikTok

Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write for multiple formats and tones

Basic video editing skills for social content (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar), with the ability to quickly assemble rough cuts or concept mockups when needed

Deep understanding of each major social platform’s specs, best practices, and content behaviors

Proven ability to develop and pitch campaign concepts that are both on-brand and socially relevant

Ability to work quickly, manage multiple projects, and thrive under deadlines

Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners

Daily user of TikTok with a passion for platform trends and creator culture

Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello, Monday.com, or similar
