Job Summary
A Contract Furniture Designer company in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a Contract Furniture Dealer/Designer to support a high-volume corporate account on the dealer side. This role focuses on furniture layout, specification, and order accuracy for private offices and support spaces. Candidates must have contract furniture dealer experience, be proficient in AutoCAD, and be very confident working in a high-interaction client-facing environment. This is not an A&D role and is not open to junior designers. The role will start as 100% onsite during the training and ramp-up phase, but will transition into a hybrid schedule.
Pay $80k/yr – $110k/yr (Potential for negotiation if coming from a direct target furniture dealership/manufacturer companies with strong design experience)

Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate, dealer-level furniture specs and orders with minimal revisions.
Use CET and AutoCAD independently to deliver layouts, revisions, and documentation.
Be reliable on-site, proactive, and trusted as the furniture Subject Matter Expert.
Work directly with the internal project team to assess requirements and develop conceptual designs and space planning based on client needs.
Become the client-specific furniture brand's product expert and be familiar with other commercial furniture options to ensure workspace design consistency.
Conduct field measurements and verification.
Research and assist in selecting ancillary products for projects.
Prepare installation drawings.
Qualifications
5-10 years of relevant furniture design and commercial office space planning with a furniture emphasis.
Must have strong experience with contract furniture dealer/manufacturer (non-negotiable).
Strong AutoCAD experience.
Experience with CET, SketchUp, or Project Spec 5 is a big plus.
Commercial office space planning experience.
Comfortable working in a high-interaction client-facing environment.
Experience working directly with clients.
Experience supporting multiple projects at once.
