Overview
The Assistant Golf Professional position at Deercreek Country Club delivers a first-class golfing experience to our Members and Guests. This position is a key team member to support the Head Professional and other Assistants with all of the duties that involve golf operations including tee sheet and daily play management, teaching, club fitting, retail merchandising, tournament operations, member home & away play requests, outside tournament development, junior golf programming and all other golf operation responsibilities. This team member will take on an active role in managing the Outside Service team to deliver a high level of consistent service to our members and guests.

Experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Traits
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.
Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
Strong communicative and interpersonal skills.
Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated with desire to promote and market.
Service and customer focused attitude.
Experienced computer user including; Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, i.e. email, internet, tournament and database.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
Attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows to keep abreast of marketing and business trends.
Essential Responsibilities
Uphold the quality standards set by the club and lead by example for all staff members to follow.
Provide exceptional customer service to all members and guests, exceeding expectations of everyone who plays Deercreek Country Club.
Assist with Tournament Operations in all golf events and outings at the club.
Oversee daily operations of the Outside Operations team, making sure they are working as efficiently as possible.
Assist in all daily merchandise operations, as well as inventory management and opening/closing of Golf Shop.
Play golf with membership on a regular basis.
