Social Media Operations Intern (Twitter / YouTube / Discord) – AI Video Generation Startup
Location: Remote
Duration: 3–6 months, part-time (20–40 hrs/week)

What You’ll Own Editorial Calendar & Publishing
Schedule 3–5 posts per day across Twitter, YouTube Shorts, and Discord
Maintain consistent brand voice while adapting to platform-specific audiences
Plan content themes around product launches, AI technology showcases, and community milestones
Real-Time Engagement
Answer questions, meme in the replies, drop behind-the-scenes clips within minutes of new features shipping
Monitor conversations about AI video generation and engage authentically with the community
Provide quick technical support and redirect complex queries to appropriate team members
Content Creation
Script, film (phone is fine), edit and thumbnail 3–5 YouTube Shorts per week showcasing AI-generated video capabilities
Design Twitter visuals and Discord event assets using our brand guidelines
Create compelling video demonstrations of our AI technology for different social platforms
Develop creative content that makes complex AI concepts accessible and engaging
Community Programs
Run weekly prompt battles, creator spotlights, and beta-tester AMAs
Organize Discord events around new feature releases and model updates
Facilitate user-generated content campaigns showcasing AI-generated videos
Build and nurture relationships with key community members and potential brand ambassadors
Analytics & Reporting
Track growth, retention, and sentiment across all platforms
Present a concise monthly slide deck with insights and recommendations
Monitor competitor activity and emerging trends in AI and creative tools
Identify viral content patterns and optimize posting strategies
Translate user feedback into concise tickets for product & research teams
Collaborate with the AI Designer to ensure visual consistency across social content
Work with engineering teams to understand and communicate new AI capabilities
Support marketing initiatives with social-first content creation
What You Must Have Experience & Skills
Prior social-media internship OR personal/creator accounts with ≥1k followers OR 5%+ engagement
Demonstrated experience with Twitter threads, YouTube Shorts, and Discord community management
Understanding of AI tools and generative technology (or strong willingness to learn quickly)
Communication
Native-level English—your memes should feel algorithm-born, not translated
Ability to explain complex AI concepts in simple, engaging terms
Strong written communication skills adapted for different platform audiences
Location & Commitment
Currently living in the U.S. and able to commit to at least 6 consecutive months (longer = preferred)
Flexible schedule that allows for real-time engagement during peak hours
Technical Proficiency
Comfortable with CapCut, Premiere, Figma, and basic analytics dashboards
Familiarity with scheduling tools and social media management platforms
Basic understanding of design principles for social media content
Work Style
Bias for speed: you can ideate, film, edit and post a reactive clip in under two hours
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
Adaptable to the fast-paced nature of both social media and AI technology
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI/ML tools and understanding of video generation technology
Background in content creation, digital marketing, or community management
Familiarity with Discord bot management and server administration
Knowledge of video production workflows and motion graphics
Previous experience in tech startups or fast-growing companies
Portfolio of social media content demonstrating creativity and engagement
