
Email Designer and Developer

Position Summary
The Email Designer and Developer creates high quality email and SMS designs that support Holley's brand identity and drive customer engagement across all business verticals. This role is responsible for designing, coding, and testing responsive email templates and campaign assets that perform well across devices and inboxes. The Email Designer partners with Marketing Leads, Product Owners, Email Specialist, and CRM team to ensure creative execution aligns with brand strategy, campaign goals, and Customer 360 initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong visual design skills paired with hands on HTML and CSS development experience.
Key Responsibilities
Email and SMS Design
Design visually compelling email layouts, graphics, and content blocks that match Holley brand standards. Create campaign assets including promotional banners, product imagery, module layouts, and mobile optimized creative. Apply best practices for hierarchy, readability, accessibility, and conversion focused design. HTML and CSS Development
Code responsive email templates and modules using HTML and inline CSS. Build reusable components and design systems forKlaviyoand other communication channels. Ensure emailsrenderconsistently across major email clients and devices through structured development and testing. Campaign and Template Execution
Work closely with the Email Specialist to build and launch campaigns inKlaviyo. Translate creative concepts into functional email templates and dynamic content blocks. Perform QA checks for layout, responsiveness, rendering, and content accuracy. Support template updates, seasonal refreshes, and ongoing optimization of creative assets. Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketing Leads and Product Owners to interpret goals, promotions, and product narratives into strong email creative. Work with the CRM Project Manager and CRM Specialist to ensure creative aligns with segmentation, lifecycle flows, and Customer 360 strategies. Collaborate with Copywriters, Content teams, and Creative to ensure unified messaging. Testing, Optimization, and Best Practices
Conduct A/B tests to improve visual design, CTA placement, and module performance. Monitor creative performance and apply data insights to improve design effectiveness. Stay current on email design trends, accessibility standards, and technical limitations of email clients. Brand and Asset Management
Maintain a scalable library of email templates, modules, and design assets for Holley brands. Ensure consistent use of logos, color systems, typography, and brand elements across all communications. Support Creative teams with digital assets used in email and SMS. Qualifications
Required
3+years of experience designing and coding emails. Proficiency in HTML, inline CSS, and responsive design techniques. Experience designing email templates in Klaviyoor similar ESP. Strong visual design portfolio showcasing email or digital design. Understanding of email rendering behavior, client limitations, and best practices. Preferred
Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other CRM connected email platforms. Familiarity with SMS creative bestpractices. Experience with Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, or similar design tools. Knowledge of accessibility standards for email. Success Traits
