Junior Estimator
We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our team and assist in preparing cost estimates for hazardous material abatement and demolition projects. This role is perfect for someone with basic construction knowledge, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret construction blueprints, project plans, specifications, and project documents Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment Conduct site visits as needed to gather project information Communicate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to clarify project requirements Maintain organized records of estimates and project documentation Support lead estimators and project teams as needed Perform other duties assigned by supervisor Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn and grow within the company Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong numerical and analytical skills Familiarity with construction estimating software, i.e., Bluebeam, preferred Knowledge of hazardous material abatement and/or demolition practices a plus Demonstrated reliability, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality with an ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor and conduct oneself with integrity. Education, Training, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous work experience in construction or estimating, preferred Benefits
