Physical Requirements

Capable of frequently climbing on equipment and lifting to 50 pounds to effectively perform on-site equipment demonstrations.

Position Summary Manages sales for the Petersen Industries product line, trains contractors and municipal customers on product features and benefits, and supports dealer sales with product knowledge. Develops forecasts, recommends inventory levels, sets delivery schedules and order frequencies, and drives regional sales growth.

Duties and Responsibilities - Include but are not limited to:

Delivers training, guidance, and sales strategies to help dealers, direct clients, and municipal customers achieve their sales targets.

Must be willing to travel to or reside within the assigned territory.

Collaborates with the Director of Sales and Marketing to resolve issues, determine product availability, and discuss new product ideas.

Recommends appropriate inventory levels.

Utilizes planning skills and product knowledge to forecast both long-term and short-term product sales.

Leverages media, digital marketing, and various databases to identify new opportunities.

Conducts performance evaluations for municipal and dealer sales teams, provides constructive feedback, and assists with their development.

Trains new customers on product, current programs, company, and departmental goals, and other relevant topics; also provides ongoing training for current dealer sales teams.

Prepares sales reports detailing volume, margins, and competitive analysis.

Informs management about significant sales developments that impact market position.

Develops budgets including volume, margins, and competitive analysis.

Advise dealers regarding established territories, quotas, and goals, and coordinate this information with the sales force.

Attends trade shows and demonstrates as well as promotes company products.

Creates and maintains a database of all contacts and clients within the assigned CRM system.

Plans and leads territory customer sales meetings.

Develops the territory budget, plans expenditures, and ensures adherence to budget guidelines.

Highly organized and effective negotiator, with strong verbal and written communication.

Proficient with computers and spreadsheets.

Willing to travel often, attend trade shows, and maintain an insurable driving record.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum 4 years previous sales experience, preferably in an industrial/municipal/contractor market, with increasing areas/levels of responsibility.
