Quanex is looking for a

Product Management Intern

to join our team located in

Owatonna, MN or Sioux Falls, SD.

This internship opportunity is for Summer 2026. The Product Manager Intern will support the full lifecycle of Quanex products by assisting with new product development, managing existing offerings, conducting voice of customer research, and supporting go‑to‑market strategies and product launches. This role includes gathering product requirements, helping with training, RFP activities, and productivity improvement efforts, while building a strong understanding of the window market such as market size, applications, competition, suppliers, and customer needs. The intern will use this knowledge to help identify new growth opportunities for Quanex.

What Success Looks Like

Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics, including competitive landscape, macro trends, supplier offerings, and customer needs within residential window hardware.

Contribute to new product development by supporting product strategy, business case creation, forecasting, defining product requirements, setting cost targets, managing customer feedback, and leading product launches.

Provide daily support to the sales organization, addressing inquiries related to new business opportunities and risk management.

Collaborate with marketing to create and update product collateral and sales tools that increase awareness and adoption of Quanex hardware products.

Analyze product performance data—including revenue, profit, demand, and market insights—and provide recommendations such as forecasting and improvement opportunities, while completing other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and experience working on project teams.

Demonstrated problem‑solving, idea generation, and project execution skills, supported by prior exposure to manufacturing environments.

Strong cross‑functional engagement and collaboration skills, able to manage complex projects, flex across diverse assignments, and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions and facilities.

Skilled in data analysis, communication, and presentation, with a strong focus on execution, delivering results, and adapting to changing project needs.

This is a paid, full‑time internship that will be paid hourly. The hourly range for this internship is $20 to $25, and the selected hourly rate will align with the intern’s academic experience.
