This position is in office at our IRVINE location, some travel required.

PAY $19 - 23 / hour, depending on experience + monthly and quarterly incentive structure.

Summary

The Corporate Account Sales Specialist II serves as the primary company relationship owner for assigned retail accounts, including both direct-buy chains and distributor-supported chains.

For direct-buy accounts not supported by brokers, the Corporate Account Sales Specialist II maintains full ownership of the retailer relationship, including sales growth, promotional planning, demo coordination, product training, and revenue performance.

For distributor-supported retailers, the Sales Specialist II partners with broker representatives while maintaining direct chain-level engagement to ensure alignment, visibility, and strategic growth. Store-level outreach and reorder touchpoints for distributor accounts are supported by the Corporate Account Sales Specialist; however, the Corporate Account Sales Specialist II retains responsibility for overall chain performance and expansion initiatives.

This position drives business development initiatives to increase the overall sales, expand distribution, improve account penetration and strengthen retail performance.

The Corporate Account Sales Specialist II represents the company in direct interactions with retailers and distributors, including sales calls, product education, virtual and in-store training, demonstrations, trade shows and other engagement activities. Travel is required.

The role requires ownership of account growth strategy, execution of sales plans, and consistent follow-through to ensure long-term account retention and revenue expansion.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Account Ownership and Relationship Management

Serve as the primary sales point of contact for assigned retail and distributor accounts. Maintain regular direct communication with chain buyers, category managers, and key decision makers. Conduct chainlevel business reviews to evaluate performance and growth opportunities. Ensure assigned chain accounts are not solely reliant on broker communication for company engagement. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key buyers, category managers, and distributor representatives. Drive distribution expansion, SKU penetration, and promotional participation across assigned chains.

Sales Growth and Business Development

Achieve and exceed sales goals established by management through strategic account planning and execution. Actively prospect and develop new retail chain and independent accounts to expand distribution and increase market presence. Conduct structured outbound sales outreach and targeted business development efforts. Analyze account sales data to identify reorder frequency trends, SKU penetration gaps, and distribution expansion opportunities. Identify underperforming accounts and implement corrective action plans. Execute strategies to secure additional shelf space, promotional participation, and category expansion.

Distributor Partnership Management

Maintain regular communication with distributor representatives to support sellin efforts, monitor performance, and drive reorder activity. Collaborate with distributors to ensure product availability, compliance with pricing policies (MAP), and proper execution of promotions. Monitor distributorlevel sales performance and communicate gaps or opportunities to Sales Manager. Maintain current product knowledge and ensure distributor partners are properly educated on product positioning and benefits.

Retail Marketing and Promotional Coordination

Ensure assigned accounts are informed of new product launches, promotions, and marketing initiatives. Coordinate product demonstrations, sampling events, instore education, and trade show participation as needed. Support retail activation efforts to maximize product visibility and sales velocity. Collaborate with Corporate Account Sales Specialists to ensure storelevel execution aligns with chain strategy.

Reporting and Systems Accountability

Maintain accurate and uptodate account records in ERP. Provide timely and accurate reporting related to sales activity, account updates, and performance. Track account performance trends and communicate insights to management. Track and report on key performance indicators including distribution gains, promotional participation, and revenue growth across assigned chain accounts.

Industry and Competitive Awareness

Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, broker developments and market shifts. Identify strategic growth opportunities and present recommendations to management.

Additional Responsibilities

Apply company sales plans and strategies as directed. Complete special sales projects within established timelines. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience will also be considered. A minimum of two years of related experience is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in MS Office applications. Strong phone selling and customer service skills are essential. The candidate should be adept in sales strategy, business development, and account management. The ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and achieve sales goals is critical. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with excellent time management abilities. The individual must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively write reports, business correspondence, and present information to groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Education And/Or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, communications, business or other related degree and/or a minimum of two-years related experience required. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
