Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join a growing fire protection team in Panama City Beach, FL. This role is responsible for the layout and design of automatic fire sprinkler systems for commercial and residential projects in compliance with NFPA standards and local codes. Key Responsibilities
Design and layout fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 13, 13R, and 13D standards. Prepare detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD and/or HydraCAD. Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). Conduct site visits as needed to verify field conditions. Submit plans for permitting and address plan review comments. Ensure projects are delivered on time and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Required Qualifications
NICET Level III in Fire Sprinkler Layout (Required). 5+ years of fire sprinkler design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD (HydraCAD or SprinkCAD preferred). Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and Florida building codes. Experience with hydraulic calculations. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, or industrial projects. Familiarity with Florida permitting and inspection processes. NICET Level IV (a plus). Compensation & Benefits
