Gamble Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit historic home and 2.5-acre public garden in Old Palo Alto — a visually stunning, highly photogenic community institution with a warm and enthusiastic following.
We're looking for an experienced freelance marketing professional to step in immediately for a 6-week engagement leading up to our largest fundraiser of the year: Spring Tour, April 24–25, 2026.
This is a focused, time-sensitive role with potential to grow. We need someone who can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
Scope of work:
Own Gamble Garden's Instagram, Facebook, and Nextdoor accounts
Build and execute a Spring Tour promotional content calendar
Submit and manage online event calendar listings
Draft Spring Tour promotional emails for ED review
Create social graphics and event signage using Canva (brand kit provided)
Small WordPress website updates
Optional: event weekend photography and post-event recap content
You're a great fit if you:
Have 3+ years of social media management experience, ideally nonprofit, community, or lifestyle brands
Are a strong copywriter who can match a brand voice quickly
Are proficient in Canva; Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Are Bay Area-based and available to start immediately
Are self-directed and deliver without being chased
