Job Overview

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily management of a luxury multifamily rental property in Brooklyn, NY. This role supports on‑site operations, tenant relations, leasing administration, rent collection, and compliance while delivering a high level of customer service to residents. The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification. Not all duties assigned to every position are included, nor is it expected that all positions will be assigned every duty. Your Responsibilities

Manage the lease assignment and transfer process from start to finish Oversee and coordinate the sublet process, directing inquiries as required and ensuring compliance Process and track occupant changes Notify leasing of any changes to the rent roll and resident status Monitor Airbnb and short-term rentals to ensure no illegal activity within the building Notify residents of NSF (insufficient funds) payments Assist with rent collections, review monthly charges, and prepare arrears and delinquency reports Track arrears, send notices, and follow up with residents on outstanding balances Maintain resident and application data to ensure all tenant records are accurate and up to date Communicate directly with ClickPay / RentCafe / Yardi and residents to resolve billing issues Process new leases, renewals, cancellations, and extensions in Yardi Maintain reports including renewals, vacancies, concessions, bed bug tracking, late fees, legal trackers, and other operational spreadsheets Ensure the timely return of security deposits Input ancillary charges and credits to resident accounts Track move-ins and move-outs, coordinating with the Resident Manager regarding damages and key returns Assist with leasing activities including apartment showings and new resident onboarding, as needed Draft and distribute memos, notices, and correspondence to residents and vendors Respond to all resident communications within established service standards Address tenant complaints and follow up on nuisance or quality-of-life issues Review daily logs from the 24/7 Customer Care Call Center and follow up on open items Respond to all landlord verification requests Work closely with exterminators on scheduling, unit access, common areas, and bed bug tracking Conduct regular property walkthroughs to ensure amenities and common areas are maintained Inspect apartments prior to move-in to ensure units are move-in ready, when needed Assist with rent check collection and deposits Support legal and collections efforts by tracking delinquent accounts and maintaining communication with legal teams Work a flexible schedule, including weekdays and weekends, as the office operates seven days per week Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required Three (3)+ years of experience in New York City residential rental property management; lease-up experience strongly preferred NYS Salesperson License preferred Fair Housing certification required within 90 days of hire Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven customer service background Ability to work effectively with coworkers, residents, vendors, and management in a professional and collaborative manner Highly organized with a high-energy, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based software What We Offer
