Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting
on behalf of a dynamic and growing organization with complex manufacturing and global operations. This is a full-time, onsite leadership opportunity based in Columbus, Ohio.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting will lead the financial reporting function and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records and delivering accurate, timely financial insights to executive leadership. This position oversees the accounting team and drives key processes, including financial close, reporting, and general ledger management within a complex, multi-entity environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead financial accounting operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
Maintain and manage the general ledger, chart of accounts, and transaction accuracy
Ensure timely and accurate external financial reporting, including regulatory filings
Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and evolving standards
Manage internal and external audits and serve as primary point of contact for auditors
Establish and maintain strong internal controls across all financial processes
Oversee tax compliance, including federal, state, and local reporting requirements
Drive continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and workflows
Collaborate with executive leadership on financial strategy and decision-making
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including performance management
Oversee cost accounting, including COGS, BOM, SKU, and landed cost analysis
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Tier 1 university preferred); MBA a plus
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting
Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams
Strong expertise in GAAP or IFRS and financial reporting for complex organizations
Experience in manufacturing, food service, restaurant, or similar industries
Deep understanding of cost accounting, including COGS, BOM, SKU, and landed cost
Experience navigating tariff impacts and cost structures is highly valued
Advanced proficiency in financial systems, Excel, and data tools
