The
Account Coordinator
plays a critical role in supporting customer relationships, managing account activity, and ensuring operational accuracy across all orders. This position serves as a key liaison between customers, sales account managers, and internal production teams, maintaining strong checks-and-balance systems to deliver high-quality service and on-time performance. Experience in manufacturing—particularly within the steel or metal fabrication industry is highly valued.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct daily reviews and reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contractual terms.
Manage and update customer account information, including pricing, materials, specifications, and purchase orders.
Partner closely with account managers to ensure timely and accurate entry of work orders into internal systems.
Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding order status, changes, and timelines, ensuring expectations are clearly managed.
Monitor material availability and open orders to ensure production schedules and delivery deadlines are met.
Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying discrepancies, process gaps, and opportunities to enhance account management workflows.
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (data analysis, formulas, and reporting).
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in sales support, customer service, or account management.
Experience in manufacturing, steel, or metal fabrication environments is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with processes such as laser cutting, bending, or other fabrication services is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, dependable, and confident in decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
