Role Description
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for cultivating existing customer relationships and bringing on new business in a multi-state region (North TX, OK, MO, NE, IA)
The Regional Sales Manager will be expected to travel 50% to 80% to visit production plants and manufacturing clients as well as to participate in trade shows. Travel will be done by car, and candidates must be comfortable meeting clients in environments where hardhats and earplugs are sometimes required.
The ideal candidate is familiar with industrial environments and will be comfortable utilizing a CRM system to track and manage customer information and to input all sales forecasting data.
This is an outside sales position where ideal candidates will be based in one of the following cities:
Dallas, TX, Springfield or Kansas City, MO or Oklahoma City, OK
with the ability to work from home and travel via car to meet clients in their region multiple days a week. 50-80% travel by car is expected (3-4 days a week).
Qualifications
Proven expertise in sales, account management, and relationship-building
Experience in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve targets
Strong negotiation and communication skills for client engagement and partnerships
Familiarity with technical product sales, particularly in industrial or applicable sectors, is a plus
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple accounts and tasks
Proficiency in CRM software and basic computer skills
3-10 years of industrial B2B sales experience, ideally with a focus on selling within manufacturing space.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues across the organization and clients.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work well autonomously and travel as needed.
