Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Boring, OR, for an Allison Transmission Builder. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and servicing Allison Transmissions and related powertrain components. Daily responsibilities include assembly, disassembly, inspection, and troubleshooting of transmission systems, as well as testing rebuilt units to ensure functionality and efficiency. The Allison Transmission Builder will collaborate with a skilled team to meet quality and safety standards and deliver excellent customer service.
Qualifications
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing transmission lines and powertrain components
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving mechanical and electrical issues
Understanding of electrical engineering concepts related to vehicle and transmission systems
Project management skills for tracking work processes and ensuring timely completion
Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment used in transmission repair and rebuilding
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality control
Previous experience working with Allison Transmissions is highly desirable
Technical certification or equivalent work experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
